We were very particular about who we would select as our photographer and it was immediately apparent that we needed to book Heather after seeing her work. Even more impressive though was how comfortable Heather made us feel during all the sessions. We were initially worried about being self-conscious during shoots, or overwhelmed with everything going on (especially during the wedding) - but Heather was so good at making us feel relaxed, happy, and naturally in the moment. It was so easy to trade ideas about what kinds of pictures to take, and she was fantastic at communicating with us throughout the process. My husband and I are from PA, but Portland, Maine has been a very special place in our hearts for years, so we couldn't think of a more appropriate place to get maternity pictures done. I kind of went in blind looking for a photographer, but when I found Heather's site, I was sold. I knew I wanted someone affordable, loved taking candids and could incorporate the scenery as much as she did us, and she did all of those things so well.

The entire process of coordinating a photoshoot literally from different parts of the country was seamless. She was so professional, responsive and clearly passionate about giving us photoshoot we were dreaming of. Then to the day of the shoot, she again exceeded my expectations. My husband, who is not a fan of the camera and was only going along with it to not upset his very pregnant and emotional wife lol, actually ended up having a great time and I loved how Heather was so quickly able to make him feel comfortable and at ease.

When Heather sent us the album (which I believe only took less than a week) I was so completely blown away with the photos. I remember texting her laughing about how I was only 3 pictures in and already crying. She managed to bring my dream maternity photoshoot to life. The quality was incredible. She incorporated so much of the beautiful landscape which I loved, made my 35 week baby bump look so flattering, and was so creative in her angles and capturing all the little details.

I just can't say enough amazing things about Heather and I can't recommend her enough if you are considering a highly skilled, creative, fun and yet very affordable photographer."

"Heather is absolutely and utterly amazing!! She made my fiancé and I feel right at home and completely comfortable from the beginning of our engagement shoot; she is also an incredibly sweet and comforting individual - which made it easy to connect with her on personal levels. I still cannot believe how she was able to capture such intimate moments with a camera.

Derek and I talked to Heather prior to our engagement shoot, and Heather was able to give us some amazing feedback on how to best go about this experience. Through the entire planning process, Heather was extremely quick to respond to any question - this allowed for great communication flow between us. We had never taken photos like this, so the fear of them being posed and awkward was the one major component that we wanted to avoid - we wanted to be candid, and let the pictures speak for themselves. As we walked around Boston, Heather was very communicative with us, while also allowing Derek and myself to have fun and be ourselves.

When we got the photos back (in less than 24 hours after they were taken, I might add.... amazing speed and quality!!), we were amazed that Heather was able to capture such intimate moments between us. We immediately asked her if she would take photos of our wedding as well. With such amazing photos taken for our engagement shoot - the bar is set high for other photographers. We hope to continue to work with Heather for other life milestone photography sessions in the future. We wouldn't trust anyone else - she is simply phenomenal."

"Our photography experience with Heather was absolutely fantastic. As a band, we had used other photographers before, but no one was truly able to capture the “vision” we wanted for our album art and live performance photography.
